Coral is a startup at the intersection of climate and fintech that makes sustainable building upgrades like heat pumps, batteries, and EV chargers more affordable and accessible. Our mission is to accelerate the electrification of the built environment through innovative financing solutions.

We’re seeking an Energy Incentives Lead to help contractors and building owners capture any energy-efficiency incentives they are eligible for. You will become an expert on utility rebates, tax credits, green financing, and more, and apply for these incentives on behalf of our contractor partners. You will also research incentive programs in new markets to help guide our expansion strategy, and help our product team automate and streamline incentive applications. You’ll work closely with our CEO, CTO, and founding team in our NYC office (hybrid).

What you’ll do

Lead incentive operations (70%)

• Become an expert on energy-efficiency incentives, eligibility requirements, and application processes
• Review electrification projects to confirm incentive eligibility
• Work with contractors to confirm project details and collect any missing information
• Process incentive applications on behalf of our contractor partners

Research new incentives and guide expansion strategy (15%)

• Work with government agencies, utilities, green banks, and other incentive providers to deeply understand incentive programs in new markets
• Shape Coral’s expansion roadmap based on incentive opportunities

Support product improvements and new product development (15%)

• Share feedback from contractors and incentive providers to inform new features
• Support new product launches as a go-to expert on incentive requirements

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years experience, prior exposure to a fast-paced startup environment is a plus
• Outstanding project management skills and attention to detail
